Do You Offer Samples?
Yes! All our wallpaper designs come with the option to order samples. Standard samples are around 53cm x 30cm, though some may arrive in A4 size depending on the manufacturer. Samples are £1.50 each and we don’t accept returns on samples.
Why Order a Sample?
Screens can distort colours and finishes. A sample helps you assess color, texture, glitter or metallic elements, and how the paper works with your lighting before buying.
How Accurate Are Website Images?
We strive to show the truest representation, but differences in screen brightness and contrast mean a sample is always the safest bet.

Need Help Estimating Rolls?
Use our wallpaper calculator—you’ll just need your room’s dimensions to find out how many rolls to order.
Standard Roll Size
Most rolls are 53cm x 10m, covering about 5 square meters.
Is Lining Paper Necessary?
Lining paper smooths out imperfections and helps your wallpaper stick better.
Can I Wallpaper Over Old Paper?
While possible, we don’t recommend it. For best results, remove any existing wallpaper.
Paste-the-Wall vs. Traditional Wallpaper
With paste-the-wall, you apply adhesive to the wall—not the paper. It’s quicker and cleaner.
How Does Heat Affect Wallpapering?
Too much heat can cause the wallpaper to dry too fast and shrink, leading to visible gaps. Let it dry naturally in a cool, ventilated room.
Why Prep the Walls?
Proper prep ensures a smooth result. Remove old adhesive, sand the wall, and avoid glossy surfaces that may hinder paste adhesion.
Does Wallpaper Always Unroll Top-First?
Not necessarily—check the direction before hanging. Don’t assume it’s always printed to roll off top-first.
Why Is Soak Time Important?
Soak time allows wallpaper to expand before hanging. Ignoring it can lead to bubbles or tearing.
Which Paste Should I Use?
Always use a high-quality paste. We recommend ready-mixed adhesive, and you should follow the wallpaper’s label instructions.
Used Too Much Paste?
Too much adhesive can cause bubbling, shrinking, or smearing. Use just the right amount.
Why Is Colour Rubbing Off When Wiped?
Wallpapers printed with water-based inks can fade if scrubbed or exposed to cleaning products. Wipe gently and remove excess paste promptly.
What Causes Bubbles or Wrinkles?
- Air bubbles: Usually round and caused by uneven smoothing.
- Expansion bubbles: Long and staggered, from skipping soak time. Use a smooth brushing motion center-to-edges to avoid both.
Why Are My Wallpaper Seams Opening?
This shrinkage can happen if the paper wasn’t allowed to soak or dried too fast, especially in warm rooms. Proper prep and paste prevent this.
How Long Does It Take to Dry?
Drying can take 2 to 7 days depending on the wallpaper type and room conditions.
Edges Not Sticking Down?
Dry adhesive at the edges is the main cause. Ensure plenty of paste, especially at the edges. A seam roller can help press them down—just don’t damage the surface.
